As you can see the difference in dress from the early 80's until now has drastically changed. In the early 80's many rappers wore adidas jumpsuits, thick gold chains, kangol hats, and adidas shoes with the tongue purposely pulled out. Change of dress in the mid 80's was slow and gradual. Rappers continued to wear kangols, and other styles of wear. The fit of clothing became a little loose compared to earlier years. Leather pants was in style along with Versace style sweaters. By the mid 80's Nike began to be a constant brand of clothing along with baseball caps. In the early 90's fashion began to evolve drastically. Artists changed from flashy sweatsuits to fannel shirts with khakis or blue jeans. Especially in the west coast dickie shirts began to grow in popularity. Hooded sweatshirts and sports affiiated apparell also grew in popularity.
